  • Bonnie Cullison has been appointed as the new chair of the Maryland Prescription Drug Affordability Board. Please see the message from incoming Chair Cullison-

    "I am honored by the opportunity from the House Speaker and Senate President to continue my public service as chair of the Prescription Drug Affordability Board. Under the previous leadership of chair Van Mitchell, the Board has done important work to build a rigorous, transparent, comprehensive, and strategic approach to understanding how rising pharmaceutical costs affect overall health care costs for government entities. That work has already helped identify responsible options to constrain public spending, including limits on how much government entities may pay for certain high-cost drugs. At its core, this is responsible budgeting with a clear public purpose: helping Marylanders benefit from more affordable health care and, ultimately, lower insurance premiums. I look forward to working with Board members and diverse stakeholders across the state as we continue this important effort."
